Training and assessment
Mine Resilience (Australia) Pty Ltd engages trainers and assessors who have experience working in industry at operator level and above, and experience delivering training and assessment solutions in an industry context.
Most trainees will complete within a 12 to 24-month period. We work with sites on the training and assessment program so it more likely to take up to two years, and if funding support is available this usually means a full two years but no longer. However, if a candidate has gained all their knowledge and experience and is ready for assessment, we can also do the assessment fairly quickly.
Cost will depend on the level of knowledge and experience that the trainee already possesses. Funds may be available to support the trainee and this will be discussed on a case-by-case basis. A typical fee for the whole qualification is $4000.
If a candidate is ready for assessment, we commonly send out a self-assessment form that the candidate looks at and discusses with their supervisor. We will make contact again and check how the self-assessment went and when would be a good time for the site assessment to be done.
